‘I am delighted to welcome my son Jonathan into the family business, he will be the third generation to enter the company ensuring the ongoing success of our business. I’m extremely proud that he has decided to make the bold move to join us, to migrate from the relative comfort of successful career in Environmental Management to the volatile world of logistics is going to be a challenge for him, however I have no doubt it’s one that he will enjoy.
Jonathan brings with him skills from his previous role as an Environmental Geologist that I know will add value to John Pearce Glynneath Ltd. He has spent the past ten years working in various roles within a global company, travelled extensively and worked with people from all over the world. Of course before Jonathan went off to University he worked in the business, on the fork lift, driving the delivery vans and helping in the office. As everyone who runs their own business knows, their children are always involved, so I’m confident that Jon knows what’s in store for him!
I know he’s grateful to the staff at JPG who have supported him, he knows he has a lot to learn, but he also confident that with the incredible team we have here at John Pearce he’s in safe hands. Hayley and I wish him the best of luck in this new adventure and look forward to the new ideas and energy he will bring to the business.’ Clive Davies, Managing Director.
A few words from Jonathan on his feelings about joining the family business-
“I’m excited to be joining John Pearce Glynneath Ltd as the third generation to do so. Growing up, I’ve always felt immense pride in the hard work and dedication my father, Clive, and the rest of my family have poured into building this company. It’s an incredible honour to now have the opportunity to carry that legacy forward. I’m excited to work alongside my father, learning from his experience and contributing my own energy and ideas. Together, I hope to continue to uphold the values and commitment to service that have been the foundation of our business for over 50 years.
Since leaving my role as a Managing Consultant at a global environmental consultancy, I have felt welcomed and encouraged by all of the staff at JPG, many of whom I have known for many years. I want to take this opportunity to thank them all for the guidance and support I have received so far and I hope it continues into the future.” Jonathan Davies, Director.
Good luck and best wishes on your new role
Thanks Craig, I’ll pass your comments to Jon.
