In recent years, the customer base has increased from 50 to more than 250 clients. Highlights in the Company's development include expansion of the customer base between 1974-1975, with the signing of two major local customers, Cambrian Castings of Aberdare, and TRW of Resolven (formerly Cam Gears). The following year saw the introduction of articulated vehicles, in order to accommodate increased traffic flows. A year later, the Company commenced deliveries and collections to and from mainland Europe. Increased demands of TRW also marked the development of Inspection and Rework services in 1988. Rectification work took place both in-house at Glynneath as well as off-site at customer premises, and soon became an important 'value-added' part of the business.
The defining moment in the Company's development was the acquisition of new storage, office and workshop facilities at Glynneath in 1978. The new complex served as a springboard into groupage work. Our economy groupage service enables customers to simply book as much space as they need on-board a vehicle. The Company rapidly expanded its turnover and range of customers. Three decades of sustained growth has been achieved amid an increasingly hostile economic climate. Between 1998 and 2000, the firm achieved a growth rate of 53.5%, and was named amongst the Western Mail's prestigious top 50 fastest growing companies in Wales (2001).
