It’s no secret that the transport industry isn’t the most environmentally friendly, that’s why it is so important to make changes where we can. We are committed to maintaining a modern fleet, with vehicles regularly replenished with the newest low emission Euro 6 vehicles; we are transitioning our company cars to EV’s and we use solar panels, bio heaters and ground source heat pumps.  On top of this,  we are proud to announce that we have partnered with (TAG) Carbon Neutral Britain to measure and offset all UPN Deliveries.

Through the United Pallet Network membership, the carbon footprint of all deliveries completed across the UK network from 1st April 2024 and 31st March 2025 will be calculated and carbon offset by Carbon Neutral Britain.  This aims to reverse the impact of emissions created from the vehicle travel. By accurately calculating and offsetting the emissions, all UPN deliveries will be certified as Carbon Neutral.  This will be calculated and audited by Carbon neutral Britain via the ISO 14064 and GHG Emissions Protocol Accounting Standards- the corporate standards used by all businesses globally ( including the UK Government and Public Agencies) .

Certified to the highest standards, all the carbon offsetting projects used via the scheme are regulated through the VERRA – Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standards – Voluntary Emissions Reductions (VER) and the United Nations – Certified Emisson Reductions (CER) programs. This ensures the measurements and tonnes of CO2 offset are accurate and verified.  In addition to this, Carbon Neutral Britain also undertake Independent Project Validation and Assurance.
