We were delighted to have been chosen as the TPN – The Pallet Network Charity Draw winner for January 2021. The prize money was £1000 and we asked staff to suggest charities they thought should benefit. It was really hard to choose, especially at the moment as fundraising is really difficult to do and many important charities are struggling to raise any money. Staff finally decided on the following;
Ysgol Ty Coch – we supported this lovely school last year as one of our driver’s wives works there and told us they needed money for a minibus. We visited the school with a cheque last year and the children and staff touched our hearts. It was such a warm and welcoming place and so much important work is done there by caring and dedicated staff. https://www.ysgoltycoch.co.uk/
Blood Bikes Wales – again, we have supported this amazing charity in the past. Two of our staff (David Lewis and Clive Bowen) ride for them and it is an outstanding charity. https://www.bloodbikes.wales/
Neath Port Talbot MIND – this is a new charity for us to support but a really worthy one. We felt that a rise in mental health issues, coupled with difficulty fundraising, made this an excellent choice. This charity is local to us and we know that the money will benefit those who need it in our community. https://nptmind.org.uk/
